Embattled
state-owned power utility, Eskom, says there will be no power cuts this
weekend.

Eskom’s spokesperson, Dikatso Mothae says the power rigid is still constrained, but the power utility has enough capacity to meet electricity demands over the weekend.
“We continue to look better each day,” she says.
“Currently as I said, we are not load shedding and do not think we will need to load shed over the weekend.”

An emergency response command centre meeting was held by the power utility on Friday to discuss possible load shedding.
