Evil spirit ordered man to kill his mother
A man has been arrested after he handed himself over to police for killing his 57 year-old mother.
The 31 year-old man walked into the Sunnyside Police Station last night, saying he killed his mother after an evil spirit ordered him to do so.
Police spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela says police officers were sent to the man's flat.
"Upon arrival at the man's flat in Sunnyside, east of Pretoria, the police made a gruesome discovery. They found the body of the suspect's mother, lying in a pool of blood," says Mavimbela.
Mavimbela says it is suspected that the deceased died from multiple stab wounds that were inflicted with a knife.
The knife was recovered from the scene.
"The suspect will be charged with murder. He is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's court soon," says Mavimbela.
