Family of four killed in Eastern Cape crash

Dutywa Police in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a fatal accident that left a family of four dead.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, said the accident between a truck and a Sedan occurred along the N2 between Dutywa and Butterworth on Wednesday evening.
Manatha said the family of four travelling in the Sedan died instantly.
“All of them died instantly at the accident scene. The father was 53, mother 42 and their two children aged five and 15.”
The truck driver and a passenger were seriously injured and rushed to Butterworth hospital.
