Sindiswa Manqele arrived at the court dressed in a red jersey and a black and white scarf covering her face. She was flanked by her lawyers.

Manqele’s lawyer requested that the matter be postponed to the September 7 for hearing. Her R10,000 bail was extended.

Acting Judge Solly Sithole told the court that there was no space for Manqele’s case and he hoped that there would be space for her next appearance.

Habedi, a member of hip-hop group Skwatta Kamp, was stabbed to death at his home on March 9, 2014, allegedly by Manqele, thought to be his girlfriend.

At the time, police said they were called to Habedi’s Alexandra home at 4am, where the 38-year-old musician was killed.
