Footwear sector strike continues
Updated | By Algoa FM News
The country's footwear sector remains at a standstill as a protected wage strike enters its second week on Monday.

The workers are being represented by the National Union of Leather and Allied Workers (Nulaw), which is affiliated to the Federation of Unions of South Africa (Fedusa).
Nulaw general secretary, Ashley Benjamin, addressed striking workers at Watson Shoe Factory in Great Brak River on Monday morning.
"We are hopeful that we should be able to conclude the negotiations today," says Benjamin.
He adds unions are waiting on the employers to approach them.
