Police have arrested four suspects in Centurion for possessing counterfeit petroleum oil products worth some R225 000.

The suspects were found in a residential area with a consignment of about 3,000 litres of imitation oil.
Police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk said the suspects are expected to appear before court soon.
They will face charges for contravening the Counterfeit Goods Act.
"According to a preliminary report, a team that comprised of members from the National Counterfeit Unit and Commercial Crimes Investigations, in collaboration with brand protectors operationalised information,” Van Wyk said.
"The team obtained a search and seizure warrant and proceeded to the identified address in Monavoni, a suburb on the outskirts of Centurion.
"Police subsequently arrested four Zimbabwean nationals whose residency status will be verified by the Department of Home Affairs.”
