Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a 17-year-old boy died when the horse he was riding collided with a truck in Lichtenburg in North West on Tuesday.

It is understood that the teen lost control of the horse before colliding with the truck.
"For some or other reason the horse got a fright and he started running out of control. The rider of the horse tried his best but he couldn't control this horse," says police spokesperson Adele Myburgh.
