FState miner killed in accident
A miner was killed in a ground fall at Masimong mine near Welkom, Harmony Gold Mining Company said on Friday.
The worker was fatally injured in the ground fall accident at the mine on Thursday night, the company said in a statement.
Harmony chief executive officer Graham Briggs said an investigation into the accident was underway. All production at the mine had been stopped.
Briggs and his management team expressed their condolences to the family and colleagues of the dead man.
