Gauteng MEC for Social Development dies

Nkabinde-Khawe was appointed as MEC in May this year.
Gauteng MEC for social development, Thuliswa Nkabinde-Khawe has died.
Vuyo Mhaga, Spokesperson for the Premier confirmed on Saturday that Nkabinde-Khawe passed away unexpectedly on Friday.
"The Premier sent his condolences to the family, comrades, and friends," said Mhaga.
Nkabinde-Khawe was appointed as MEC in May this year.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng has said it is deeply saddened by the passing of the Nkabinde- Khawe.
She served as the Chairperson of the Social Development Committee in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature before being appointed as the MEC for the same portfolio in the sixth administration.
The DA's Solly Msimanga said: "Nkabinde-Khawe was passionate about issues affecting the most vulnerable members of the society and dedicated to serve the people of Gauteng. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and the African National Congress (ANC)."
