Give ANC a chance in Tshwane as DA has failed, says Mabuza
Updated | By Eva Chipa
Deputy president David Mabuza was in Soshanguve Tshwane on Thursday on the African National Congress (ANC) campaign trail.
With the local government elections to be held on November 1, political parties our out in full force trying to urge communities to take to the polls.
When asked if ANC would consider a coalition, Mabuza says the aim is to win Tshwane completely as the Democratic Alliance (DA) has failed.
“I’m not going to jump the gun, we are determined to win Tshwane absolutely with an absolute majority, but we are not opposed to a collation when it comes our way. But DA has failed, you have seen sewerage running in the streets with kids playing in the streets.
“We saying to our people give the ANC a chance, yes in the past we have made mistakes, we are committed to change, to address our mistakes and govern better and deliver better services in Tshwane.”
Addressing the issue of the DA posters in Phoenix, in KwaZulu-Natal the deputy president says DA praising people that have killed others is wrong.
“It an unfortunate situation that the DA is taking us back, to where we come from. Racism is a demon we must fight, to praise people that have killed other people is incorrect. To play the race card in a society that can easily be divided is not correct. So, I think it’s up to leadership of the DA to fix that problem.”
