A KwaZulu-Natal woman and her grandchild are missing after being washed away.
The grandmother - thought to be in her 40's, and the 16-month-old baby - got into trouble in the Mafodobo River in Harding, yesterday.
KwaZulu-Natal EMS' Robert McKenzie says paramedics and a police search and rescue team have been looking for any sign of them since last night.

"They conducted a search on the riverbanks, the water was flowing very fast. And the rescuers had to make their way through the dense bush of the river," says McKenzie
However, they were unable to locate the pair - and the search was called off later that afternoon.
