Updated | By Neo Motloung
Police say cash-in-transit guards
were allegedly drugged during a heist in Wemmer Pan, south of Johannesburg
on Friday.
According to the police's Lungelo Dlamini, the guards were held up in the van before the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
"We do not know what happened to them but it appears the guards were drugged," says Dlamini.
Police have not been able to determine how many suspects were involved in the heist.
Dlamini says a manhunt has been launched for the suspects.
"At this stage, we still have to interview these guards,” says Dlamini.
