Hartbeespoort restaurant owners critical after being shot in the head

North West police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who shot the couple while sleeping on Tuesday morning.
The couple has been identified as Alastair and Michelle Mckenzie, the owners of the restaurant Squires on the Dam in Hartbeespoort.
Police spokesperson Amanda Funani says the couple is in critical condition in a Pretoria hospital after they were shot in the head.
"According to allegations, the two victims were both aged 62 and were sleeping at their house, and had left their room sliding door open. It is alleged that the suspects entered the estate house and shot them, their daughter heard the gunshot and rushed to the room.
"She found them lying on the bed with wounds and rushed them to a hospital in Pretoria. No arrests made at this moment. We are investigating two counts of attempted murder and house robbery."
