A police officer who had been hijacked in Bramley in Gauteng has been found in a serious condition.

The officer had been shot and sustained serious head injuries, police say.
It follows a morning of drama at the Kyalami Corner mall in Midrand.
Gauteng police say the officer and his vehicle were hijacked on Old Pretoria Road.
The vehicle was later traced to the mall, where a shootout with the suspects ensued.
A gunman was killed.
Provincial police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says: "The police officer was found not far from the shopping centre. He was wounded in the upper body."
Dlamini says police are still searching for two suspects.
One suspect has already been arrested.
"He might lead us to the other suspects."
