Forty-nine-year-old Agnes Setshwantsho appeared in Molopo Magistrate Court on Friday.

She told the court that she intends to plead not guilty on all the charges against her.

She faces two counts of fraud, a charge of murder and one of defeating the ends of justice.

Her lawyer Nhlanhla Mahlangu says the state is sensationalizing their case against his client by claiming she’s been evading arrest.

It also emerged in court on Friday that she has a pending case of theft, which she was informed of on Saturday.

Meanwhile, NPA spokesperson Henry Mamothame says the state is expected to call on the investigating officer Keshi Mabunda to take the stand in opposing bail when the matter sits.

Mabunda is the detective who cracked the case of policewoman turned serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu.
