Journalists set to receive Covid-19 jab soon: SANEF

The South African National Editors Forum (SANEF) says it is a welcome relief that journalists are among those next in line for the Covid-19 vaccine.
SANEF's Mary Papaya says government informed them on Monday that the media fraternity will receive their jabs soon.
She says the decision comes after lengthy discussions with the Department of Health.
"The process going forward is that all media houses will now have to submit data of all of their staff and also put in place the regions that government can press ahead and prioritise the vaccination process throughout the country for journalists, media workers.
"Journalists, in fact, are frontline workers and who worked 24/7 since the breakout of the pandemic to make that the public of South Africa was kept informed of everything that was happening around us."
