Kirsten Kluyts' alleged killer to remain behind bars until May
Updated | By Masechaba Sefularo
The case against the man accused of killing Delta Park teacher Kirsten Kluyts has been postponed to 10 May for further investigation.
The student, who was arrested in Sandton a month after Kluyts' lifeless body was discovered naked at the George Lea Park, appeared briefly in the Alexandra Regional Court on Friday.
He faces charges of premeditated murder, rape, and robbery.
During bail proceedings, the 21-year-old took the stand and relayed his account of events on 29 October 2023.
He admitted to undressing Kluyts and disposing of her clothes, while insisting that she was already dead when he found her.
The accused remains behind bars after he was denied bail in December.
The lawyer representing a student charged with the murder of Sandton jogger Kirsten Kluyts on Friday threatened to report the magistrate presiding over the matter due to the percieved unfair treatment of his client.
