KNP restaurants to open ahead of festive season
Updated | By Jacaranda News
Good news for holidaymakers as the South African National Parks (SANParks) confirms that its restaurants will be operational over festive season.

Temporary management has been put in place at three restaurants located within Kruger National Park (KNP), Letaba, Satara and Olifants.
This follows the resolution of a dispute between SANParks and Ringgold, the company that managed the restaurants.
The dispute between the two companies were around the "lawfulness of Ringgold’s continued occupation of the restaurant facilities at Letaba, Satara and Olifants rest camps in the KNP."

SANParks spokesperson Janine Raftopoulos says SANParks is currently going through a tender process to find permanent operators.
The Letaba restaurant will be open on 13 December, Satara on 14 December and Olifants a day later.
Raftopoulos says SANParks accommodations are equipped with kitchen and braai facilities should visitors want to self-cater.
