KZN cop in the dock for killing wife’s lover
A police officer from KwaCeza in KwaZulu-Natal is expected to appear in the Mahlabathini Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.
The 39-year-old officer was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed a 47-year-old man on Thursday morning.
Spokesperson to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) Ndileka Cola says he will appear in court on Friday.
"According to the preliminary investigation conducted by Ipid the deceased was allegedly having an affair with the wife of the suspect.
"The suspect has been detained, and he is facing charges of murder.”

CCTV footage taken from the scene shows the officer walking towards a man and hitting him until the victim falls to the ground. He continues to assault him until another officer approaches them. The two officers then seen leaving the scene while the victim gets back up onto his feet.
