Learners identified in viral assault video

The Department of Education in Limpopo has confirmed that a
video of a school assault that went viral this week happened at a school in the
province.
According to the department’s spokesperson Sam Makhodo the three people in the video are all learners.
The department has refuted reports that the two learners assaulted a teacher.
All three learners hail from from Dr AMS Makunyane school in Seshego outside Polokwane.
“Investigations revealed that the two learners in uniform who are siblings were actually attacking a fellow learner.
“The school has further confirmed that none of their educators were attacked by any leaners and they are all fine,” said Makhodo
The reason for the attack is not known but disciplinary proceedings against the learners have already commenced.
