Learners suspended for assaulting teacher
Three learners have been suspended after assaulting a teacher at Emshukantambo High School in Soweto.
A video has made the rounds on social media showing how three learners assaulted the teacher in class.
The Gauteng Department of Education has confirmed the incident, saying an investigation has been launched.
"The learners will appear before a hearing on 19 September," spokesperson Oupa Bodibe said.
The video was posted on Philisiwe Precious Malinga’s Facebook page.
