Over 94,000 candidates have registered to sit for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination in the province from 30 October until early December.

"It is that time of the year where now, as the Limpopo community, we have to give support to the class of 2023 cohort. We want to really request our business people, taverns and shebeens to partner with us, taxi people to partner with us, to reduce the sound to be able to give them enough time to study," said Lerule-Ramakhanya.

The MEC joined over 1,000 matrics in Vhembe West on Monday for the pledge signing, reminding them to adhere to exam rules.

Lerule-Ramakhanya said she is confident the province will see an improvement in its pass rate, as pupils have been given enough support since the beginning of the year.

"Our candidates are ready to sit for their exams, but they need me and you as parents, as siblings, as a community to give them support.

"We want to also say to the candidates themselves, stay away from the cell phone but use any resource to enhance the studying that you have to do.”
