Limpopo MEC calls for protection of elders
Limpopo Social Development MEC Nkakareng Rakgoale has urged South Africans to continue to care for senior citizens.
June 15 marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Spokesperson for the provincial department Witness Tiva says the aim is to highlight the plight of elders at the hands of their relatives or society.
"The MEC has urged us all to report cases of emotional and financial abuse meted against older persons."
