Limpopo MEC finds hospital in disarray
Updated | By Maidi Monareng
Limpopo's Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba was fuming after finding the Zebediela hospital in disarray.
She made a surprise stop at the facility on Thursday and was clearly not impressed.
The MEC said it was clear staff at the hospital didn't take their jobs seriously.
Patients complained they were being fed the same food - fish and pap - every day.
Some told the MEC they've also not received their daily dose of medication.
The MEC also found a storeroom, packed to the brim, with supplies the hospital claimed not to have.

MEC Ramathuba said a team would be sent, to shake things up.
"We are going to bring a team tomorrow [Friday], a team of outsiders, people who have run private hospitals. They will come and sit with the management here together without people from the district. Let's get professionals who will bring the team spirit. If we win on the team spirit and if we win on the attitudes, if we win on leadership these problems will be solved," she said.
