Limpopo parents advised to secure school space for their kids in time

Limpopo Education MEC, Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya is monitoring the first day of registration for the 2024 academic year.

Lerhule-Ramakhanya visited Pietersburg English Primary School (PEMPS) and Capricorn High School under Pietersburg circuit in Polokwane this morning.
Pietersburg is one of the circuits that face admission challenges due to high application volumes each year.
"When we are in Pietersburg circuit, when we are in Lephalale, when we are in Makhado, when we are in Tzaneen, these are our hotspot circuits and other areas where we have influx because of people looking for a job," says Lerhule-Ramakhanya.
"We are saying to parents check your schedule for your children, if you are going to move you know it by now but we a window period where we say we deal with emergencies that is not for application."
She says schools in Polokwane are over-subscribed due to late applications and limited school infrastructure.
She has encouraged parents to collect admission forms and return them on time.
She says this will assist the department finalize space allocations for their children before the end November.
