Updated | By Lesetja Makhura
Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for five unknown men who bombed ATMs in the Waterval area of the Vhembe district on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says no shots were fired during the robbery.
"It is alleged that five unknown armed male suspects accosted security guards at Njhakanjhaka Saseki Shopping complex in Bungeni and held them hostage, while bombing the ATMs. They subsequently fled the scene on foot.”
“At this stage, it is not clear whether there was money taken from the ATMs or not.”
The suspects are still at large.
