Limpopo police hunt assailants behind jewellery store robbery
Limpopo police have launched a manhunt following a business robbery at a jewellery store at the Savannah Mall in Polokwane on Friday.
A group of unknown suspects are on the run.
"It is alleged that a 33-year-old female was on duty at a local store at Savannah Mall with her colleagues when a group of men armed with firearms entered the store, and demanded money and gold," says people spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba.
"The suspects proceeded to the display area and safe and took out jewellery worth thousands of rand and put it in a bag."
Two of the suspects assaulted the employees before fleeing the scene in a grey sedan.
