A 35-year-old sergeant and a 34-year-old constable were arrested on Tuesday evening for corruption and defeating the ends of justice.
Limpopo police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the officers were nabbed following an investigation into a 2018 incident of culpable homicide.
"The investigation emanates from a hit and run accident that happened last year already that took place in Penina Park on the outskirts of Polokwane.

"They apparently demanded money (R10 000) from the person responsible for the culpable homicide and then after handing over the money they then released him."
The suspects appeared in the Polokwane Regional Court and were released on bail of R1000 each.
The case was remanded to October 23.
