LISTEN: Three court clerks, two police officers and a cleaner arrested

"JMPD officers and members of the Hawks arrested a female clerk of the court and a female cleaner last night [Wednesday] who were trying to sell a docket for a minor crime at the McDonalds parking ground in Cresta," Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

"This arrest led officers to the Linden police station where two investigating officers were arrested at 09:00 today [Thursday]."

 

At 11:00, officers went to the Randburg Magistrate's Court where they arrested another two clerks of the court, he said.

"The prosecutor in this case managed to escape from the court building, but his lawyer has promised to hand him over [to police] at 10:00 on Friday."

All involved worked at the Randburg court.

Minnaar said the group was expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court soon.
