LISTEN: Verulam mosque attack survivor speaks

An imam who survived yesterday's attack on a Verulam mosque says he believes it was an act of terror.
Imam Ali Nchinyane was among the three people who were stabbed when three men entered the Imam Hussain Mosque in northern Durban yesterday afternoon and attacked worshippers.
The other two victims were the muezzin and 34-year-old Abbas Essop.
Essop - who had been running a workshop across the road - rushed to the mosque to intervene later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Essop later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Imam Nchinyane, who was stabbed just below the neck, was discharged from hospital earlier today.
He says it's clear what the attackers' intention was.
