Tensions rose in the Free State town of Senekal on Friday as opposing groups gathered outside the local magistrate’s court.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), AfriForum and various other groups are in the small town ahead of the appearance of two suspects accused of murdering 21-year-old farm manager Brendin Horner.
While proceedings were underway in court, standoff between some farmers and EFF supporters took place on Voortrekker Road.
