LIVE: Gareth Cliff vs M-Net ruling
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Radio and TV personality Gareth Cliff returned to the High Court in Johannesburg on Friday where judgement is expected in his application to be reinstated as an Idols SA judge.

Cliff filed an urgent application against M-Net's decision to fire him after he weighed in on the racism debate following the remarks made by estate agent Penny Sparrow on social media.
M-Net stated that they decided to part ways with Cliff because he demonstrated a clear lack of empathy for the history of South Africa.
"M-Net did not wish to participate in fuelling further racially based divisions in the country," they said.
Cliff said he would sue M-Net for R25 million for wrongful dismissal and defamation of character if the broadcaster did not reinstate him.
