Mabuza: Show your love by donating what you have for ANC to survive
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
African National Congress (ANC) deputy president David Mabuza has requested members to donate money for the party to survive.
Mabuza believes every member of the ANC must take responsibility for the life of the movement.
“If you are a member of the ANC, you will be required to contribute whatever you have, because it's your party that must survive. It's an indication that you love this thing, you take care of it.”
Mabuza spoke outside the home of late president of the disbanded Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA), Kebby Maphatsoe on Thursday.

“Every family got its own problems,” said Mabuza while addressing the ANC’s financial woes.
Staff members have not been paid their salaries on time for months while the ruling party has deferred the payment of UIF and taxes.
The cash taps have run dry, but Mabuza is confident that they’ll return to “a past where it was good and had all the monies in the world”.

“We are quite aware of our situation. Yes, we’ve got our own internal problems. But I can assure you that the ANC will unite, the ANC will correct itself. It’s a matter of time. We got that ability in ourselves.
“Given all our problems, we going to emerge stronger. Yes, we’ve lost what we were not supposed to lose, but we will rediscover ourselves. We will unite and become again the glorious movement we use to be,” said Mabuza.
