Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane has urged South Africans to vote for change and not corruption.

Maimane was speaking at the party’s final rally at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto, south of Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon.
Maimane described voting for African National Congress (ANC) as voting for corruption.
He added that President Cyril Ramaphosa was in the same administration that looted money from Bosasa and the VBS Mutual Bank.
“And now he tells the people we did steal, please forgive us. Lend us another five years so can steal some more.”
He said the ANC offered the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) cabinet positions in order to continue looting the government coffers.
Maimane pointed out that DA is the only party not implicated in the Bosasa corruption and the VBS looting.
“Unlike the current government, when they see you are a criminal they send you to parliament. We are saying they should go to prison.”
He also vowed that a DA government will send corrupt politicians to prison for 15 years and will beef up the police to fight corruption.
Maimane urged South Africans “to be brave and vote for a corruption-free DA”.
