Man found dead on Pietermaritzburg pavement
An apparent murder victim, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was found dead in Longmarket Street in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday morning, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the pavement on the side of the road.
"Upon assessment it was found that the man sustained multiple stab wounds. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him. He was declared dead."
The details surrounding the murder were unknown. Authorities were on the scene to investigate, Bodasing said.
