"That is our focus. I think everything else for me is not relevant at this point," he said.

Fransman claims he's officially back at work, despite the ANC's national spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa, telling the media that Fransman's case must still be considered by the party's National Disciplinary Committee.

The embattled leaders is accused of sexually harassing a young woman during a road trip to the ANC's birthday celebrations in January.

He was then asked by the party to step aside, while the police investigation runs its course.

In May, the NPA in the North West revealed that the charges against Fransman were dropped, but it's understood the case is still under investigation by authorities in the Northern Cape.

Fransman says he's on the campaign trail, to make up for lost time and insists the ANC has not, at any point, informed him officially about any disciplinary action.

"What it boils down to is that the internal processes, for me, remains internal. I think it is sad that some people in the ANC structures go public and, in fact, don't speak to me directly, but speak to me via the media and we've seen that trend over the last couple of months and weeks."
