Marius Fransman has not been reinstated: ANC
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The ANC has confirmed that embattled ANC leader in the Western Cape Marius Fransman has not been reinstated as party chairperson in the province.
This follows comments by the ANC Campaigns Head Nomvula Mokonyane that Fransman is back at the helm following allegations of sexual harassment, for which he was suspended.
Fransman was accused of sexually harassing a 21 year-old woman ahead of the ANC's January 8 celebrations earlier this year.
The party's Zizi Kodwa said the Fransman case is still with the ANC National Disciplinary Committee (NDC).
"The report of the integrity commission had recommended that the Marius [Fransman] matter must be referred to the National Disciplinary Committee and that recommendation was then accepted. So, the matter is before the NDC as we speak. He is not back. He is not reinstated," Kodwa said.
