Mbalula: Teen behind death threats against Makhozi Khoza
Police minister Fikile Mbalula says the threats against ANC MP Makhosi Khoza has been traced to a teenager in Cape Town.
Khoza has been receiving threats since March after an oversight visit to a Mpumalanga hospital.
She has also been vocal in her criticism of the ANC leadership.
Mbalula says: "The person who was threatening Dr Khoza and her family is a minor female - a 17-year-old Grade 10 pupil at a high school in Gugulethu, Cape Town. Twelve cellular phone numbers utilised to threaten people were successfully traced to her and her mother."
He says the teenager has threatened and harrassed seven people since August 2016 to date.
Mbalula says the seven people all work at the National Assembly.
