Metrobus and Demawusa to face off at CCMA
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
Johannesburg Metrobus and representatives of the striking union Demawusa will meet for mediation on Thursday morning.
The two parties head to the Council for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), on the fourth day of the strike that has left commuters stranded and seriously disrupted the bus service.
Metrobus spokesperson Goodwill Shiburi hopes the Thursday meeting will bring an end to the industrial action.

"What we will be looking at is one demand, which is salary progression, but it is not really formal negotiations. We are just having a meeting with the CCMA commissioner."
Metrobus has also filed two interdicts at the Labour Court against the protest action by union members.
The first interdict to stop protests relating to the granting of office spaces and resources has been granted by the court.
The outcome of the second interdict relating to the demand of salary progression will be handed down on Thursday afternoon.
