Missing girl found dead in Inanda
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Durban police say the murders of two Inanda teenage girls, whose deaths are similar, cannot be linked at this stage, as investigations are continuing.
Twelve-year-old Nokulunga Majola was found dead this week, while another 14-year-old girl was found murdered in January. Both victims had been reported missing in the area.
Police say Nokulunga's decomposing body was discovered in a bush near Sgananda Road in Inanda after she had been missing for five days.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause and date of her death. Police have not given any further details on her death.
In January, a 14-year-old girl was also found dead in a bush in the Nhlungwane area, in Inanda.
She had been missing for four days before an elderly woman stumbled upon her body while picking bananas.
