More than 20 injured in multi-vehicle crash on N14
Gauteng Traffic Police closed off the N14 near the R55 in Thachfield on Tuesday morning following a crash involving a truck and multiple vehicles.
The truck collided with over 20 vehicles.
Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso says injured motorists have been taken to various hospitals in the metro.
"Twenty-four recorded patients have been transported to various hospitals by various ambulance services with minor to serious injuries."
Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson Sello Maremane has urged motorists to use alternative routes.
"Motorists travelling on the N14 towards Centurion are advised to use alternative routes such as the R511.. the N14 towards Pretoria is completely closed off."
