This comes after the South African Weather Service issued a Yellow Level 4 warning for the central interior on Tuesday.

Tshwane Emergency spokesperson, Charles Mabaso, says however that no one was injured.

"We had an incident in Mamelodi where multiple shacks were flooded, but no injuries were reported. People only had to make way for the water to flow away by bridging perimeter walls.

“There were few roads in the Centurion area that also flooded, but nothing significant happened as water has subsided in many areas."

Mabaso adds that no cars were swept away in the downpours.

"We only had an incident at Pretoria east where one vehicle was stuck in the water but there was no entrapment and the person was able to move out safely as it was not deep waters".
