MY STORY: 'He beat me so hard I had to play dead to survive'
Loyiso Saliso, a mother of two girls was emotionally and verbally abused by her youngest daughters' father until she decided to leave.
She says despite her ending the relationship with him, he continued to beat her up, sometimes in front of members of her community.
She remembers a day he beat her so bad she had to play dead to survive.
She says after the incident even her children couldn't recognise her.
She now works with young women - focusing on those who come from broken homes - assisting them on the road to find self love and worth.
