No imminent terror threat to SA

South Africa's security services say there is no imminent threat to the country by terrorists.
The United Kingdom issued an alert that terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in South Africa.
This comes after the disappearance of a Cape Town couple, with British ties.
"The alleged main threat is from extremists linked to Daesh, which are formerly referred to as ISIL," reads the alert.

"Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreigners such as shopping areas in major cities," it continues.
However, Hawks spokesperson Captain Lloyd Ramovha, says that at this stage there is nothing that points to such a threat.
"We wish to advise that, there is nothing that points to an imminent threat by terrorists on our soil," says Ramovha.
