North West Police are investigating the murder of a tenant who was allegedly shot and killed by his landlord in a residential area near Hartbeespoortdam, Brits.

The tenant (66) reportedly approached his landlord (72) when he discovered there was no electricity and water at his place on Sunday.
An argument ensued between the two, whereby the landlord went inside his house and came back with a firearm and allegedly shot the victim in his upper body.
"The suspect fled from the scene while the victim was transported to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
"The suspect was arrested during an intelligence-driven operation conducted around the Skeerport area. The police also recovered a firearm, which will be subjected to ballistic tests,"
The suspect is expected to appear in the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
