#NotInMyName: Nothing less than life for Nicholas Ninow
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
Advocacy group #NotInMyName say it expects nothing less than a life sentence to be handed down to convicted Dros rapist Nicholas Ninow.
Ninow is expected back at the high court in Pretoria for sentencing on Wednesday.
He was convicted of raping a 7-year-old girl in the bathroom of the Silverton restaurant in September 2018.
The court also found him guilty of drug possession and defeating the ends of justice.
The group’s Themba Masango says they are happy that Ninow will soon know his fate.
"Tomorrow we have an appointment with justice. There have been several attempts to shield Nicholas Ninow from the long arm of the law and from the claws of justice.”
Masango believes the case has taken longer than it should, delaying healing for the victim’s family.
