NPA: No probe into Zuma judge
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has refuted claims that they are investigating deputy KwaZulu-Natal judge president Mjabuliseni Madondo.
NPA spokesperson Bulelwa Makeke says they have received a letter from former president Jacob Zuma's legal team requesting clarity.
"It has come to our attention that deputy judge president Madondo may have been the subject of intimidation and attempts to prosecute him while he had become the judge presiding over this criminal trial.”
Zuma's legal counsel has requested they either confirm or deny the reports that Madondo is under investigation by the Hawks.

"This is to confirm that NPA has issued no such instruction to the police and has been informed that there's no police investigation of the sort."
