NWest legislature congratulates new premier
The North West provincial legislature on Wednesday congratulated new premier Supra Mahumapelo on his appointment.
"We are confident that under [his] leadership, the North West province will be a great force for good governance," legislature secretary Mmamokoena Gaoretelelwe said in a statement.
"Your organisational skills as well as your easygoing personality will take this province far."
Mahumapelo is the former North West legislature speaker and ANC chairman in the province.
He was elected premier by the African National Congress at a special national executive committee meeting in Johannesburg on Monday.
He takes over the position of premier from Thandi Modise.
