Nzimande: ANC being stolen in broad daylight
Updated | By Marius van der Walt & Olivia Phalaetsile
Blade Nzimande says members of the tripartite alliance will not keep quiet "while the ANC is being stolen in broad daylight".
He was addressing thousands of marchers in Johannesburg.
The SACP is taking part in countrywide marches organised by trade union federation Cosatu against state capture, corruption and job losses.
Nzimande says the ANC does not belong to its leaders, but to the people of South Africa.
"This strike is not against ANC or government, but against those stealing our party and our government.
"We want a judicial commission of inquiry (into state capture), but we must never forget judicial commissions do not change the balance of forces. It is the power of the working class on the ground that ultimately will shift the balance of forces."
