One dead in Soweto 'illegal mining' explosion

Emergency services in Johannesburg have confirmed another explosion in Braamfischerville.
The blast happened at home in Soweto on Thursday afternoon.
EMS Spokesperson Xolile Khumalo said the blast is due to suspected illegal mining activitties.
Khumalo said they believe the explosion was caused by dynamite that was connected to a car battery.
"Three bodies have been affected during this incident, one person has died from injuries sustained from the explosive.
"One rushed to hospital and other sustained minor injuries." she said.
